Jonathan Wood
Jonathan was born and raised in Thomasville until he left for college in upstate New York. Jonathan has practiced law as a public defender during his time in law school, and worked at an AmLaw Top 100 law firm in Kaye Scholer LLP for four years in New York City, specializing in white collar criminal defense.
After that firm was bought out, he moved to Iceland to pursue academia where here got a degree in Environmental and Polar Law from the University of Akureyri and is still continuing his pursuit of a PhD from the University of Iceland.
Jonathan has returned to Thomasville to be with family and enjoys public service, such as being on the Board of All Saints Cats TNR and having run for County Commissioner in 2026.
