We are thrilled to introduce you to another one of the invaluable members of our legal team, Logan McElreath, who joined the Whitehurst, Blackburn & Warren as a Legal Assistant in January 2023.
Before finding her calling in the legal world, Logan embarked on a different career path. With a passion for education and a desire to become a teacher, she earned an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Care and Education from Southern Regional Technical College in Thomasville. Upon graduation, she utilized her degree working with children at the First Baptist Church Preschool, which allowed her to cultivate patience and exceptional communication skills – qualities that would prove invaluable in her future endeavors.
Logan first learned about WBW in high school when she worked at the firm for six months as part of a community service initiative for the National Honor Society. It was during this time that she found intrigue with the legal system, igniting her desire to one day return to the legal field.
As a Legal Assistant, Logan fulfills a vital role in the firm’s daily operations. Her responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks, including communicating with clients, promptly responding to emails, preparing and reviewing essential documents, and meticulously reviewing drafts. With her thorough attention to detail, Logan ensures that our clients receive the utmost care and support throughout their legal journey.
One of the key aspects of Logan's role is her collaboration with attorney Drew Tuggle. Together, they tackle various legal matters covering general litigation, lawsuits, and occasionally private investigation cases. Their combined expertise and dedication form an effective team that consistently strives to deliver optimal outcomes for clients.
“The most rewarding part of my job is witnessing the transformative impact our work has on our clients,” Logan explains. “I take pride in being able to lend a compassionate ear and assure clients that we will do everything possible to support and assist them throughout their legal journey.”
Presently, Logan resides in Pavo with her husband, and their two adorable Labrador mixes, Daisy and River. When she's not diligently working at the firm, she enjoys playing with her dogs and delving into fiction novels on her Kindle.
In her time at WBW, Logan has cultivated invaluable skills and wisdom. She has learned the importance of note-taking and the crucial role that organizational skills play in the legal world. With her commitment to personal and professional growth, Logan continues to enhance her abilities and contribute to the overall success of the team.
